This last week of our lives have flown by. The first week of school has come and gone. I have a feeling this will be a fast semester and for that I am grateful. A lot has happened in our lives this week. To sum it all up there are two main events that happened. The biggest event was one Jared has been waiting anxiously for while we saved and budgeted for the last couple months. We finally bought a Dell desktop. It is amazing how much better things look on a big screen rather than my small 13 inch mac. I have to admit I do play a couple of the Facebook games. I never could beat any of Jared's scores on any of them using my laptop, but the first time I tried to play each game on the new computer I killed all of his scores. This new desktop was worth the money just for that reason.
The second event was a grocery shopping trip at Fry's. Some of you may know that I love to save money. I am practically obsessed with coupons and sales. For this trip I managed to drag Jared along to see me and the coupons in action. We went at 7am Saturday morning so we would have our complete choice of sale items (we might be a little crazy.) This is everything that we bought. It might look like we spent a lot of money but surprisingly this whole grocery trip cost us $27.53 and we got coupons for $6.00 our our next shopping trip making the grand total $21.53. That equaled 85% in savings.
Way to go, Janina! You'll have to share with us the tricks of the trade. :)
