The Big Four

In the game of "Life," a favorite classic board game, there are four main life events. Those include: buying a house, buying a car, graduation and having a baby. In the last three months, we have have done all four and I didn't blog about most of them.
  1. We bought a nice little 1700 sq/ft foreclosed home in Glendale, Arizona. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a great backyard. We move in two weeks and are super excited! Since we have owned it we removed all the popcorn ceilings, did a bunch of minor fix-ups and painted. There are still a lot of cosmetic things we want to fix, but those issues will be fixed over time. I'll post pictures once we move and explain the details later.
  2. In February our little faithful Honda Civic hit 200,000. We were excited. In the beginning of May the transmission suddenly died, the water pump died and the front oil seal also started to die. I lack the car lingo to explain exactly what happened, but basically the car died. Instead of getting everything fixed we decided to buy a four door car and would last us for a long while. We choose a 2009 Nissan Versa . It only had 11,000 miles on it and was practically brand new for a very reasonable used car price.
  3. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my B.S. in Communication Studies. It only took me just short of ten years from when I graduated high school to get my degree. On my educational journey I went to four different colleges in two different states and attempted about 10 different majors. Now Jared just has to graduate, and we have the next three years to look forward to that.
  4. We had the most beautiful baby, but read the previous last two posts to admire the beauty of Hunter Thomas Jones.
