Seven of our Adventures

This summer has flown by. I only have one week left until going back to work full-time. The thought of that makes my heart feel cold with sadness. Lately I have been very busy and half a gimp. Due to spending much of my summer on the computer taking three online classes, cake decorating and baking a mass amount of pies I developed tendonitis in my hands. My doctor ordered that I refrain from spending time on the computer and spend two weeks in a brace. I sacrificed writing on this blog in order to completely heal. My hands feel a lot better and my tendons are stronger. Today I could not restrain from getting on the computer. A lot has happened since I last posted. I'll quickly sum up the last three weeks of our lives with seven big events.

1. We went on a weekend trip to Mesa. I got a sexy new hair cut by Jen. If any of you out there live in the Mesa area I highly recommend taking advantage of Jen's amazing scissors. Down in the Valley I bought a lot of supplies for my Bake Sale that are only sold at the ABC Decorating Shoppe and Bakery in Phoenix. I could spend all day shopping for cooking gadgets. We played nerdy board games with friends and I became a semi-professional at Cornhole. (Cornhole can be described as a mixture of a bean bag toss and a shuffle board game).

2. Jared's sisters, their Korean pen pal and Jared's best friend drove down from Utah for a weekend. We spent the weekend going to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, cruising the streets and Flagstaff and eating amazing food.

3. I successfully completed THREE online classes with stellar grades. I now only have four classes left until I graduate. If all goes according to plan I graduate in May!!!

4. I baked two spiced pear pies, one banana cream pie, one lemon meringue pie, one orange meringue pie, one butterscotch cream pie, three apple cranberry pies, one Oreo Mud pie and some macaroni.

5. Two of my best friends and one of their husbands came up from Mesa to visit. It was great to catch up and have a room full of estrogen. Jared and the husband were entertained by the Wii.

6. For the last month I have been in the market for a bicycle. Today a lady I know offered me her barely used bike, basket included, for FREE!! She is dropping it off this evening.

7. We bought ourselves a pet snail to help keep our fish tank cleaner. We haven't named it yet.

I am sure I missed some entertaining events that happened, but such is the life of a not so consistent blogger. It does feel good to be back on my blog. Until next time.
