How to Spend $200

In preparation for moving to a new apartment sometime this summer we realized we finally needed to buy our own furniture. Right now we live in a furnished apartment. We gave ourselves a budget and have starting to browse Craigslist. A couple weeks go we bought a round kitchen table with four chairs for $75.00. We were excited about that. The next items on our list were a bed, dressers and perhaps a nightstand. We knew a good bed, frame and mattress would cost a small fortune. We were not looking forward to this.

Then one day I found a listing on Craigslist for a queen
size bed, two dressers (one tall, one long) a hutch for the long dresser and a nightstand for $200.00. At first I thought this deal was too good to be true. I made the phone call to see if this deal was legitimate and discovered that it was and the furniture was still available. I immediately called Jared and told him to come home (he was helping some friends re-shingle their roof). We sped over to the house where the furniture was located and immediately fell desperately in love with it. Then we arranged to pick up the furniture the next day and crossed our fingers that the deal wouldn't fall through.

The next day we showed up with a huge truck, some muscles and brought the furniture home. Now, for the next couple of months we will be sharing our 548 foot square apartment with two kitchen tables two beds, four dressers, and an extra nightstand. It is a bit crowded, but the phenomenal deals we have found make it worth it. This was the best $200.00 we have ever spent.
